Fallout 4 PC System Requirements and Release Times Revealed

Here’s when Fallout 4 will launch and the system you need to get the game running on the PC.

Bethesda has unveiled the PC system requirements for Fallout 4, along with details about when players can expect to download the game onto their hard drives. You'll need a Steam account to play the game. 

Here's what you'll need to get the game running:

Minimum

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
  • Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent
  • 8GB RAM
  • 30GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent

Recommended

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
  • Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent
  • 8GB RAM
  • 30GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB/AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent

The game will be available digitally on 12:01am local time, November 10 in North America and Europe. Players in Asia will have to wait until November 11, while those in Japan will have to wait until December 17.

Bethesda reveals that the game will run with full support for gamepad on PC, and support Steam Achievements. 

Additionally, Bethesda has revealed the languages that the game will support in various regions. 

In North America, Fallout 4 will run in English and French with both voice and text. South American gamers will have English voice and text, as well as Brazilian Portuguese and Latin American Spanish text. Those in the UK, Australia and NZ will support only English. In European territories, the game will support English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish voice and text. Russians and Polands will have English voice and text, and Polish and Russian text. The Asian release will support English voice and text and Chinese text. Finally, Japanese gamers will get only Japanese voice and text. 

If you plan on playing the game on a console, you'll have to adjust the system level language settings to gain access to additional languages.
