SplatNet is Splatoon’s answer to Battlefield’s Commander App, but of course executed the Nintendo way. It gives up more complex functions and abilities, like Commander Mode, for ease of use and accessibility.
SplatNet is browser based, so you can get the same experience across PCs and mobile devices. You log in with your Nintendo Network ID, and you can also link it to your Twitter account.
Once logged in, you can look up your friend list, rank, equipment, and stage info. Stage info is probably the most useful feature, since it gives players a reliable place to check what stages are live and scheduled for Regular Battle and Ranked Battle.
From your Friends List, you can see your friends’ battle plans, and set plans of your own with the time, match mode, and weapon. Much like in Mario Kart 8’s, just show up in time and you will jump into what you had scheduled, whether it’s a Regular Battle, teaming up with friends in a Squad Battle, a Private Battle, or to just improvise as you go. You can also set up your account to tweet your battle plans once you’ve decided.
From Rank, you can see how your friends rate and what their loadouts are on Turf War and Ranked Battle. Finally, Equipment shows your level, ranking and loadout, as well as area you have inked.
If you play Splatoon, you can log on to SplatNet from here.
