Blizzard has released details about the physical collector's edition for their upcoming title, StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void.
The physical edition of the game comes with a DVD to install the game from and a two-disc behind-the-scenes set consisting of an hour of features about the making of the game, including a StarCraft retrospective.
There's a 174-page field manual that serves as an art book and guide to the game's new units and characters. Also included is a soundtrack, which comes with 21 tracks from Legacy of the Void.
You'll also get in-game bonuses to claim on Battle.net for use in StarCraft II's multiplayer modes and goodies for other games. Here's what's in store:
- StarCraft II: Purifier skins for Protoss Adepts and Colossi, and three Protoss portraits
- World of Warcraft: Archon pet
- Diablo III: Probe pet and Protoss armor transmog
- Hearthstone: Protoss-themed card back
- Heroes of the Storm: Void Speeder mount
The Collector's Edition will be available at retail alongside the standard version on November 10 at an $80 price tag. The standard version costs half that at $40. There's even a digital deluxe version if you don't care for physical boxes that includes all of the in-game bonuses for use in Blizzard's games for $60.
If you pre-order the game online, you'll get access to the Prologue Missions. Despite the fact that Legacy of the Void will serve as a conclusion to the StarCraft 2 story, Blizzard has announced plans for the series' future.
