Lol if the robots are planning to take over the world they're going to need to learn different accents. Nice one, @twitter technology! pic.twitter.com/p2fatrqKdr

Look, we all know that technology…rarely works the way we want it to. At times, it almost seems like it’s TRYING to tick us off when all we want it to do is work. And even the most basic of things that SHOULD work, honestly don’t. Take for example, the Thor Love and Thunder trailer that dropped last night.
Don’t worry, the trailer was fine (mostly…), but when you turned on the auto-captioning tool, you would see things like in the image above. That’s definitely NOT what Gorr the God Butcher said, and it’s…pretty bad that it couldn’t tell that he was saying something different. Also in that tweet above, you see how director Taika Waititi reacted to the whole situation. And yeah, this might be why robots don’t take over the world, and we’re happy about that!
It is really fun that such ‘advanced technology’ can’t understand things like simple dialogue, even with an accent. But that also proves that we still have a long way to go before technology is “perfect” in the eyes of those that use it. Oh well.
According to Marvel Studios’ official film synopsis for the fourth Thor film is as follows, “Thor: Love and Thunder finds the God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But Thor’s retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.”
