A new patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is on the way and it will reportedly address problems with performance of the game on PlayStation 4, among other things, according to CD Projekt Red community manager Marcin Momot.
Posting in a thread for upcoming patch 1.09 on the developer’s official forums, Momot said, “The patch is on the way. Was just looking at the changelog and it looks really impressive – the list of changes is massive. The update will bring a lot of fixes and improvements including PS4 performance (as well as other platforms) plus many more. We ask for a bit more patience.”
A release date has not been revealed for patch 1.09, but the The Witcher 3’s first sizable piece of DLC, Hearts of Stone, is expected to be released on Oct. 13. In Hearts of Stone, Geralt will be “mixed into dealing with a man who’s…immortal. And ruthless.” You can check out some new screenshots of Hearts of Stone here.
Also coming with patch 1.09 will be new dialogue options for one of protagonist Geralt’s romantic options Triss. Players who chose for Geralt to be romantically involved with Triss over Yennifer felt slighted since Triss’ dialogue options feel restricted when compared to Yennifer’s.
