Assassin’s Creed Syndicate: How Crafting and Customization Works

September 29, 2015 by Stephen Daly

Evie and Jacob have unique skills to upgrade.

The crafting and customisation systems in Assassin's Creed: Syndicate have been detailed by Ubisoft.

Players can craft select gear to provide specific bonuses, and also have the option to upgrade items like the bomb pouch, improve medicine creation, and other features.

To craft an item, you'll need to discover a schematic in order to learn the recipe. Schematics are found in chests and can be obtained through mission completion. Allies can also provide players with essential schematics.

Crafting resources are located in chests as well and can be rewarded in various missions throughout the game. Crafting nodes can be discovered using the Scavenger ability across the map and can be used to upgrade your gang, sabotage the enemy, and bribe the police.

Some items can only be created using unique materials, while others are Ubisoft Club rewards and can only be unlocked by linking the game to your Uplay account.

There are three categories in the skill tree: Stealth, combat, and ecosystem. These improve your combo boosts, lockpicking skill, health upgrades, carriages, Eagle Vision, and Rooks – which Ubisoft says will be detailed next week. Twin protagonists Jacob and Evie have unique upgradable skills.

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate releases on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 23th, and will be available on PC  from November 19th.
