Musician Malukah Releases Destiny Tribute Song

September 24, 2015 by Michael Fossbakk

Titled “Rise From the Dark.”

Malukah, known for her covers and original music for several video games like Skyrim and The Banner Saga on YouTube, has released a tribute song for Destiny called “Rise From the Dark.”

The song is an original composition by Malukah, but uses “fragments of themes from the Destiny OST.” Those themes are listed, in order, in the video’s description along with all of the song’s original lyrics.

Malukah made a name for herself on YouTube with a vocal cover of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim three years ago, which currently sits at nearly two million views. She has gone on to do original work for games like The Banner Saga (with violinist Taylor Davis), The Elder Scrolls Online, and other tributes to games like Halo 4.

In other Destiny news, new exotic sniper rifle Black Spindle was recently up for grabs if you completed a bonus objective during yesterday’s Daily Heroic mission, however Bungie has said that some Black Spindles were dropping with an initial attack rating of 310, which is an error, and will be reduced to 290 soon. A recent hotfix for Destiny also addressed an exploit with the new Three of Coins item that can be purchased from in-game vendor Xûr.

What do you think of Malukah’s Destiny tribute song? Be sure to check out her YouTube channel for more covers, tributes, and original work.
