YouTube personality PewDiePie and No Man’s Sky developer Sean Murray from Hello Games will both appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert next week, CBS has announced.
PewDiePie will make his appearance on Thursday, Oct. 1 where he will be interviewed by Colbert and provide a “demonstration.” It is unknown what this demonstration will be, but if it will be anything like the recent appearances of two other YouTube Gaming personalities on Jimmy Kimmel Live, we can except to see PewDiePie demonstrate what he does for a living.
Murray will then appear the following night on Friday, Oct. 2 where he will also be interviewed by Colbert and then provide his own demonstration, which will more than likely be the game he and his company Hello Games is working on called No Man’s Sky.
Other notable guests in next week’s lineup for The Late Show include First Lady Michelle Obama, actors Ellen Page, Jesse Eisenberg, and Morgan Freeman, comedian John Oliver, and more.
Recently, comedian Jimmy Kimmel spoke about YouTube’s video game-specific platform for viewing content…about video games. Kimmel couldn’t understand why people would watch someone play a game rather than play it themselves, spoofing the concept in a sketch that aired on his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live. Kimmel followed up on the reaction and downright outrage expressed by people on the internet after his initial comments about the entertainment platform and, eventually, invited YouTube personalities Markiplier and MissesMae on his show to educate him.
