Let’s be honest here, the wait for Stranger Things Season 4 has been truly intolerable by fans. Even Sherlock BBC didn’t have this kind of a wait to it (as that show didn’t have to deal with a pandemic), and so the fact that we’re now only a week away from the show finally releasing Vol.1 of season 4 (more on that in a bit!) is very exciting. And the team at Netflix agrees because they decided to do something special.
In this case, they released the first 8 minutes of the first episode to Stranger Things Season 4, and it is a flashback that features Dr. Martin Brenner and Eleven, and not exactly in the way you likely expect. Watch the clip above to see the tease of what’s to come.
This season is not just going to be the “beginning of the end”, but according to the cast and crew, this is where everything starts to unfold answers-wise. Including a lot of things about the Upside Down, the origins of certain things, and more.
Which brings us to the episode allotment. According to the YouTube video’s caption, Vol.1 will feature 7 episodes, while the July 1st episodes will have only 2. But we’re better those ones are very big in terms of length and content.
Here’s the synopsis for Season 4:
“It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time — and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”
Vol.1 debuts on May 27th!
