If you thought that Dead Space 2 would be the final chapter in Isaac Clarke's deep space adventure, you'd be dead wrong. According to a leak from Electronic Arts, Visceral Studios plans to continue Clarke's dark and harrowing journey into the night with Dead Space 3, a game which takes place upon the icy planet of Tau Volantis.
Similarly, the desolate and frozen setting was perfectly exploited for horror in Dan Simmons' The Terror, which takes place in the Arctic Circle.
At the start of Dead Space 3, Isaac crashes into the planet, and hikes his way to an abandoned waystation to seek cover from a major blizzard. Isaac discovers that he isn't alone on the planet when he runs into a survivor, who reveals the presence of other survivors on the planet, who've made their way to a different facility on the planet, a group which includes Ellie Langford of Dead Space 2. Isaac must brave the snowstorm to find the rest of the survivors.
Isaac will face off against the "Hive Mind" in the latest installment of Dead Space 3, a force of nature which threatens to drive humanity into extinction.
