Remedy Entertainment, creators of Max Payne and Alan Wake, have updated their jobs page with a few new listings for an unannounced AAA title. The posting has kicked off speculation that the Finnish dev house is gearing up for work on a sequel to their generally well received psychological thriller, Alan Wake.
Four of the five openings are for work on a "AAA console project." One posting, for a 3D Graphics Programmer, mentions that the position will involve working on a new iteration of the rendering engine used in Alan Wake. With development duties on Max Payne 3 being handled by Rockstar, the logical conclusion is that Remedy is either working on a brand new IP or an as-of-yet unannounced sequel to Alan Wake.
Back in May, Remedy revealed that they were planning some sort of follow up to thesurvival horror game, though they indicated that the next entry in the franchise wouldn't come in the form of a full sequel or a DLC pack.
The posting for a game programmer mentions iOS and Android alongside PC and Consoles as the target platforms for the project. It's entirely possible that the next entry in the series will be a smartphone port of the first game or a new entry built specifically for mobile devices, with Alan Wake 2 following after that.
