Ubisoft and Sony have released a new trailer for Assassin's Creed Syndicate, showing the game's PlayStation 4 exclusive DLC, The Dreadful Crimes Mission Pack.
Originally announced during E3 back in June, the DLC offers 10 missions inspired by 19th century Penny Dreadful pocket novels, which focused on sensationalised crimes. The Mission Pack occurs through the eyes of a young man called Artie, who works with investigative journalist Henry Raymond to "explore the roots of this gruesome fad."
Players can tackle The Dreadful Crimes Mission Pack as either Jacob or Evie Frye, the twin protagonists from the main game, and will travel from Whitechapel's slums to Buckingham Palace using Eagle Vision to find clues and answers.
"It's up to you to choose whom to interrogate and your deductive skills will be put to the test in determining how to proceed," reads The Dreadful Crimes' official description. "Once you feel you have successfully identified the culprit, you can confront and accuse them, but beware… accusing the wrong suspect will result in a decreased reward!"
Finishing the DLC will yield "unique in-game items utilised by iconic detectives of the day." Exactly what this will be was not detailed.
The Dreadful Crimes Mission Pack will be available on October 23rd, the game's launch day. It's unclear if this DLC will later be released on PC or Xbox One.
Sony and Ubisoft have also announced an Assassin's Creed Syndicate 1TB PS4 bundle, which also includes a download code for Watch Dogs. The bundle will be available in Europe but it's currently unknown if the two companies plan to make it available elsewhere, the price was not revealed either.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate launches on PS4 and Xbox One on October 23rd. The game will then debut on PC on November 19th.
