The Witness Has Over 80 Hours of Gameplay, Release Date Announced

September 17, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

The Witness finally has a release date on both the PC and PS4.

The Witness, the exploration puzzle game from Jonathan Blow, the creator of Braid, finally has a release date. Blow announced today that the game will be released simultaneously on both the PlayStation 4 and PC on January 26, 2016.

To celebrate the announcement, the developer has released a brand new trailer, which you can see below. Blow also revealed some new information about the title in a blogpost on the PlayStation Blog, where he talked about the game's development.

In the blog, Blow says that the game was first designed to have an average playtime of 8 to 10 hours, but through iteration and reiteration, the game now offers at least 80 hours of gameplay, up to 100 hours for completionists.

The studio intends to share more details about The Witness in the coming months leading up to the release.
