Gameplay Footage for Goetia 2 Has Been Released

May 19, 2022 by John McDonald

An unexpected love story.

Earlier this month, we reported that Goetia 2 would not only be coming out on PC but that it would also be released on Nintendo Switch. Well, the day has come because both versions have hit the stores today, and with it comes some official gameplay of this new puzzle adventure game.

Forever Entertainment’s sequel to the 2016 game comes with great promise, using everything that made the first title so enjoyable, but just tweaking a few of those bugs out to hopefully perfect it this time around. The footage is 25 minutes long, so strap yourself in and become immersed in the video below.

Now, there will be quite a few people out there who don’t know about this game, so read on because you will find out everything you would ever need to know. You begin Goetia 2 with no inventory whatsoever, and the player must solve a variety of puzzles so they can successfully navigate this world. You will need to gather information and fundamental elements to get their soul back into the body, using only the power of possession they received as a pure soul.

Let us know talk about the history of the story now though: two lovers called Daphné and Luca decide to take a little break in Venice (sounds very romantic), but very soon after they arrive at their apartment, the couple becomes separated due to the powers of a demon called Buer. Luca is a pure soul, but he is now trapped in a twisted world he doesn’t understand, and an unfamiliar demon’s body. So, without a body, pockets, and an inventory, he must find his way back to the love of his life, and his own human form. The trick is to solve puzzles by using notes, books, and special spirits that you encounter, all of which will help this plucky little hero get back to where he belongs.

This excellent little game is a massive improvement to its predecessor, and well worth checking out if you can.
