Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen on PC Will Not Have a Locked Framerate

September 9, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

The framerate for Dragon’s Dogma on the PC will not be locked.

While many console ports to the PC have framerate locks—Final Fantasy Type 0 is locked at 30fps due to its origins as a PSP title, for example—the upcoming Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen will not be locked.

Capcom's Senior Director of Digital Platforms says that the upcoming title, which is being ported from last-gen consoles to the PC this coming January, will support 60fps as well as all the usual graphics options found in Capcom PC titles, made possibly by its MT Framework engine, which powers the studio's other titles.

“Tons of folks asked whether the upcoming PC port will have a capped frame rate. With DDDA being an MT Framework-based game, you can rest assured it’ll have the usual graphics options found in other Capcom PC titles," he wrote on NeoGAF.

"Capcom will have more details to share regarding tech specs and features in the coming weeks/months, so stay tuned for more," added the developer.

Further details about the game's impending release can be found in yesterday's post.
