Sony has rolled out a new PS5 update. The update sits at 1.06GB and doesn’t do much except bring about “improvements to system performance.”
No joke. That’s literally all that the firmware update does. Here are the official patch notes for 22.01-05.10.00.23.
Size: 1.06GB
- This system software update improves system performance.
It’s quite funny I’ve been working at Gameranx for a couple of years now and since I’ve started, Sony has never changed the wording of its patch notes. The company is always direct but at the same time very ambiguous with what the update actually does. In any case, just make sure that if you have a slower internet connection you get the update done sooner than later.
In other PlayStation news, Sony also dropped a new security update for the older brother Consoles PS3 and PS Vita. The update adds new security measures into place.
