Amazon has put up a listing for Minecraft: Story Mode, the story-driven spin-off of Mojang's popular sandbox builder. It's been dated for an October 27 release in North America. Amazon UK has the game listed for an October 30 release in the UK.
Developed by Telltale Games, Minecraft: Story Mode is an adventure game in the same vein as the studio's other games, which include Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead.
The retailer states that the game's disc-based release will include the first episode on-disc, as well as access to four future episodes once they become available. You'll need an Internet connection to download each episode.
The game is set to feature a voice cast that includes comedian Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Ashley Johnson, Scott Porter, Martha Plimpton, Dave Fennoy, Billy West, Paul Reubens, and for whatever reason, Corey Feldman. Guess he unbusied himself from his Corey's Angels to do a little bit of voice acting. When last we checked, a minor league baseball team was apologizing for his bizarre performance at a game.
What the hell.
Anyway, players will follow the story of Jesse, who's voiced by Patton Oswalt, as he and his group of friends set off on a journey to save their world from ending.
The game will be out on the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, iOS and mobile devices. Watch the trailer below.
