Since its release in early 2022, From Software’s Elden Ring has seen massive critical and commercial acclaim and shows very little signs of slowing down.
Publisher Bandai Namco revealed in its latest quarterly fiscal report (it’s all in Japanese so make sure you have a translator handy if you wish to read it) that Elden Rings has sold a total of 3.4 million units worldwide as of March 31. That is up from the 12 Million that was reported halfway through March.
The enduring sales of Elden Rings don’t seem to be much of a surprise, having been released at the end of February the game has become the second highest-selling title in Japan for the month, second only to Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
In the UK, the game has enjoyed a performance of 2.5x more sales than such as Horizon Forbidden West and Cyberpunk 2077.
In the US, it instantly became the second-best-selling game upon launch being bested by the World War 2-themed title Call of Duty: Vanguard in the preceding 12 months.
In other Bandai Namco news, the gaming behemoth has recently posted up a job ad for a Nintendo Remaster. I wonder what game this could be?
