Starting today, every player that owns the Standard Edition of Dying Light will be automatically upgraded to the Enhanced Edition. This edition includes one expansion pack and 4 DLCs, bringing more content, weapons, and skins to the default game.
The expansion pack included in the Enhanced Edition is called Dying Light: The Following. It expands the original story of Kyle Crane and brings a new map, modifiable vehicles, as well as non-linear progression.
The 4 DLCs included in the Enhanced Edition are The Bozak Horde, Crash Test Skin Pack, Ultimate Survivor Bundle, and Cuisine & Cargo. The Bozak Horde brings a new game mode, where you have to defeat Bozak with the highest score possible. It introduces leaderboards, parkour trials, a new location, and a new endgame weapon. Crash Test Skin Pack brings a skull-themed racing suit and a crash test paint job to customize your buggy. Ultimate Survivor Bundle features new outfits and weapons. Cuisine & Cargo doesn’t introduce cooking to the game, but rather offers two new challenges with hardcore Quarantine Zones.
If you own the Standard Edition of Dying Light, you can upgrade to the Enhanced Edition for free. To do so, launch Dying Light, choose “DLC Packs” in the main menu, and download the new content for free.
Besides the Enhanced Edition, Dying Light features one more edition: Platinum. On top of everything included in the Enhanced Version, it features the Crash Test Skin Pack, a large collection of skins and weapons, as well as Dying Light: Hellraid. This DLC features a new game mode, giving rewards as you slash demons in a dark dungeon. It also offers a new challenge with raids for up to 4 players.
