Bandai Namco has reintroduced Wii U exclusive Project Treasure, now known as Lost Reavers, with the launch of the game’s official site.
Lost Reavers is an online cooperative free-to-play game, with a unique Multi View Action System, that is probably connected to the GamePad. The system will allow you to switch viewpoints, so that you can better target an enemy without getting close. Of course, this system is best suited to characters who specialize in shooting.
In your four person team, you can choose to play Sayuri, Wayne, Victoria, or ShadowWalker. You and your band of treasure hunters are out on the search for Relics, unknown treasures that can be unearthed in ancient ruins and more modern locations alike.
The game is designed around forcing cooperative play, as you will need each other’s help to provide cover, flank enemies, etc. When a player picks up a Relic, he or she cannot attack and moves slower, so he or she becomes a temporary MacGuffin.
Aside from cooperating, you will want to use the Multi View Action System a lot, since gigantic monsters with large vitality bars could be waiting at any corner.
No word on how microtransactions enter the game, although it seems possible the system would make it so that you were limited from progressing every day, and the game gets periodical updates.
Lost Reavers will be getting a beta in Japan soon, although there is no word for a similar beta for the West yet.
