So we’ve all heard about NBA 2K16 going through some roster ranking changes, but what are your guesses for the top player rankings? We have some answers – and some surprises– below.
So, first off, Kevin Durant was straightforward in sharing his rating. It puts him near the top for sure, but after recent injuries he is merely hovering around the top of the mountain, and not at the peak.
Some fans believe Durant is as good as LeBron James, at least when they’re both at 100 %. Recently, a small leak has revealed that LeBron’s rating is now at 94, a few steps above Durant for sure.
We know the Celtics are interested in acquiring James, as well as Pau Gasol, who’s rated at 86, and Al Horford, who is at 83. If these acquisitions push through, that may shake the rankings up.
However, as our source pointed out, in NBA 2K15, several players received a jump up thanks to their stellar performance over the season. Stephen Curry jumped from 89 to 95 (again, this is for NBA 2K15). The cover athletes for NBA Live 16, Anthony Davis, and Russel Westbrook, and Lebron himself, made the jump to 94.
As you can see, all three were clearly below Curry last year. With Curry now this year’s MVP, is there even any doubt he would be the highest rated player for NBA 2K16?
That’s not entirely a rhetorical question. What do you think is the case for rating Curry over LeBron or vice versa? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
NBA 2K16 A Spike Lee Joint will be releasing on September 29, 2015 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows.
