Payday 2 will be playable for free this weekend over Steam, starting from now until 1pm PDT on Sunday. During this period, the game will also be available at a 75% discount for $4.99.
In addition to the free trial, its developers have announced the release of the Yakuza character pack, which adds a new playable character voiced by actor Togo Igawa to the game.
For those of you who aren't cinephiles, Togo Igawa is best known (at least in the west) for his roles in The Last Samurai, Sunshine, and Memoirs of a Geisha. He voices a new character named Jiro.
The new DLC will be out on August 27 and includes, in addition to the character, the Katana and Micro Uzi weapons. There's also a Yakuza Perk Deck and Jiro Mask. The trailer for the DLC can be seen below.
