Both the '00-'01 Los Angeles Lakers and the '03-'04 Detroit Pistons will be added to other throwback teams including the '99-'00 Portlan Trail Blazers, the '99-'00 Toronto Raptors, the '02-'03 Dallas Mavericks, '07-'08 Boston Celtics, and the '07-'08 Houston Rockets.
Five additional classic teams have still to be unveiled.
Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal led the 2001 Lakers team, which was one of NBA history's most-dominant teams, finishing with 56 season wins being going 15-1 postseason en-route to a championship win. The '03-'04 Pistons but an end to the Lakers' dominance, with a 4-1 win in the finals.
More than 30 classic teams have previously been added and these are great extras to have in NBA 2K16. The game's new rating system was recently broken down here.
NBA 2K16 will be released on September 29th, 2015 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
