A new side scrolling platformer exploring the world of Norse gods and combining elements of puzzle solving, combat, and dungeon crawling has just arrived on Kickstarter. Called Trial by Viking, the developer Last Life Games (the one person team of Dustin Hendricks) is seeking $7000 in funding to complete the game by hiring freelancers and third parties to complete some of the finishing touches on the game, including software licenses, audio, and animation artwork. Currently sitting at almost $3000, there are 28 days left to go on the funding campaign. The game is planned for a February 2016 release for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android with other mobile and tablet versions to follow soon after.
