Kotobukiya and Bioware have revealed the latest toy in their Mass Effect Bishoujo line, and she’s one some fans were definitely waiting on for a while.
If you’re a toy fan, this should already sound very familiar to you. Kotobukiya has been making Bishoujo toys for over a decade now, with familiar Western characters getting sexy anime style redesigns from artist Shunya Yamashita. These new designs then get recreated as collectible figures.
The Bishoujo line started with Marvel and DC characters, and recently entered video game territory with Street Fighter and Tekken. However, this is definitely the first time Electronic Arts is working with the toymaker, and this may be one of the first major Western game characters under the line.
Following FemShep and Liara T’soni is the Quarian Machinist Tali'Zorah. Shunya has redesigned the figure a bit to accentuate Tali’s female form, but there’s no hint that Shunya recreated what may be Tali’s sexiest feature.
Tali unmasks in Mass Effect 3, and while not all gamers were satisfied with how that game was ended, it does not seem likely even the biggest haters were unhappy with that.
Are you hoping Tali’s helmet can be cast off for her Mass Effect Bishoujo figure? Share your thoughts with us in the comments. You can preorder the toy in Amiami here, but Kotobukiya USA also just announced it, so you could wait for an official Western release as well.
