A new update for Nvidia's GeForce Experience app on the PC will allow gamers to stream what they're playing to another PC for cooperative play.
In addition to releasing the new low/mid-range card GeForce GTX 950 today, Nvidia has announced a new feature for the GeForce Experience app that will allow player sto stream their games to other PCs and play co-op. Only the streamer needs to own the game.
Dubbed "Gamestream Co-op", the feature will allow the other player to spectate their games, as well as mirror the controls of the host PC to take control over the game. The software is similar in priciple to SharePlay on the PlayStation 4 and runs at 60fps/720p.
The host will need a 6Mbps upload speed and at least a GTX 650 to run it properly. In a feature on Ars Technica, Nvidia revealed that players will need to spectate or play games hosted through Gamestream Co-op on the Google Chrome browser via a plug-in.
Not all games will support the service, but Nvidia has prepared a list of titles that will support it at launch.
