Paradox Interactive, publisher of Cities: Skylines, has announced new details about the game's upcoming expansion, After Dark, including its release date. After Dark is the first expansion of the massively popular city-building game and is slated to come out on September 24, 2015.
The expansion includes a wide variety of new features, such as a day-and-night cycle, new nighttime city services and options, and tons of other stuff. It'll be available across PC, Mac and Linux platforms for $14.99 via Steam and other digital distribution services.
Giving a taste of what After Dark will offer, Paradox has released the first weekly design diary from the game's developer Colossal Order, along with a new batch of in-game screenshots showing some of the nighttime visuals the game will sport with the expansion installed.
According to the developers, cities will behave differently during the night and day, with new leisure-focused nightspots, beachfront properties that operate during the daytime hours, and new systems like cabs, prisons, and bike lanes.
