Potentially exciting news for players itching to get their hands on The House Of The Dead: Remake. According to some eagle-eyed Redditors, a tweet shared by The Wiki of the Dead shows they discovered the information via the Polish website Pap Biznes. It seems that the game will be coming to PC (Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia on April 28th. The game will apparently be priced at 24.99 in both USD and EUR currencies.
This latest news comes after The House Of The Dead: Remake was released earlier this month on the Nintendo Switch, which is an impressively short window of time to be porting to further platforms. The game has been met so far with mixed to average reviews and is currently scoring a middling 56 on Metacritic. It seems that this is in part owing in part to some niggly controller issues stemming from the Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Cons’ gyro functionalities.
However, it’s fair to say this is something that could perhaps be remedied on more robust platforms such as the PS4 or Xbox One, so it’ll be interesting to see how this move impacts future reviews and feedback.
The House Of The Dead: Remake is a true-to-the-original remaster which has had players revisiting the original storyline and hordes of undead monsters that await them. Considered by many as being the original zombie-shooter arcade title, it’s clearly had a lot of expectations to live up to. So, while it seems to have fallen a little short of the mark so far on the Nintendo Switch, it may be that the controller and performance issues resolve themselves somewhat on at least one of the new platforms.
The House Of The Dead: Remake is currently available on the Nintendo Switch. Hopefully, we’ll see it launch for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this time next week.
