Kingdom Hearts is a marriage of Disney and Square Enix properties. Needless to say, it's very popular, and being popular only means one thing in the game industry—an endless string of sequels, prequels and spin-offs.
With that in mind, Square Enix has since announced its plans to release Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, which is slated for release on the Nintendo 3DS. The new game is a completely original title rather than a remake of the two games that made Kingdom Hearts popular on the PlayStation 2. It goes without saying that Sora looks better than ever before in the trailer that accompanies Square's announcement.
Additionally, the game is confirmed to be compatible with the Nintendo 3DS Expansion Slide Pad.
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is set for a Spring 2012 release.
