Football Manager 2022 is going free to play for some gamers this weekend. The game will be free to play from today, Friday, April 8, until Monday, April 11. Unfortunately, not all gamers will be able to partake in the free period. The free weekend is available exclusively to Xbox owners and those playing on PC on either the Epic Games Store or Steam. For those wondering, that makes Football Manager 2022 $26.79 on Xbox (down from $39.99) and $36.84 (down from $54.99) on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
At the time of writing, there are some issues with Football Manager 2022 appearing for free on the Epic Games Store. The Football Manager Twitter account claimed to be having “some problems with the population” on the Epic Store. They promised to update fans who want to play the game on the Epic Games Store when it is made available.
Football Manager 2022 has continued the success of the series. Released in November 2021, the game received good reviews and holds a “Very Positive” rating on Steam and a score of 86 on Metacritic. Different versions of Football Manager 2022 are also available on mobile and the Nintendo Switch. Those are Football Manager 2022 Mobile and Football Manager 2022 Touch respectively. Those versions of the game will not be going free to play this weekend.
