A leak from Making Star Wars has detailed a post-credits scene in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi show that will introduce Darth Vader, although show him as Anakin Skywalker under the mask. Post-credit scenes have been used for decades to leave audiences in suspense for coming sequels. Marvel has made them almost mandatory at the end of action films, prompting other film studios to place post-credit scenes at the end of most recent blockbusters. Even the newly released Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has an exciting post-credits scene that fans will want to stick around for.
According to Making Star Wars, the post-credit scene in Obi-Wan Kenobi will be used to reveal Darth Vader. The Star Wars leaker said, “Last year, a set for Darth Vader’s Bacta tank was built in Southern California and the introduction of Darth Vader was shot for Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi. ” Adding, a trusted source has “confirmed the existence of the scene and crew members confirmed such moments do happen in this series.” A similar post-credits scene was recently used in the Disney+ series, The Book of Boba Fett to suggest viewers would be seeing more of the character Cobb Vanth after he appeared to be lethally shot.
The leaker goes on to detail the scene saying, “As Kenobi begins to rediscover himself and his powers in Chapter Two, let’s just say there is clearly a disturbance in the Force. After Kenobi and ten-year-old Princess Leia are reunited, this triggers our first post-credits scene.” Continuing, “The source says we see some murky water and then the ugly eye of Anakin Skywalker opens into frame. We are left with the ominous feeling Kenobi and Organa have awoken the beast. The only problem is you won’t see more until the next thrilling episode of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi! It is Anakin Skywalker in his Bacta Tank being jolted awake by the presence of his old master.”
Obi-Wan Kenobi will release on May 25, exclusively on Disney+.
