Microsoft and The Coalition have put together a fantastic deal for all Gears of War fans with Gears of War Ultimate Edition.
If you buy either Gears of War Ultimate Edition or Gears of War Ultimate Edition Bundle on Xbox Live from August 25 until December 31, you’ll get Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 and Gears of War: Judgment via Backward Compatibility, as early as this fall. If you are in the Xbox One preview program, you’re in for a treat already, as you can already play the first Gears of War via Backward Compatibility.
Xbox One’s Backward Compatibility feature is different from other consoles, but Microsoft has leveraged the strengths in their arrangement. Your saves, add-ons, and achievements will carry over, and you also get to use Xbox One features like Game DVR, Snap, and screenshots. You will even be able to play with your friends across Xbox 360 and Xbox One, regardless of what console you and your friends use.
