The PS Plus lineup for April has been leaked (it was always bound to happen), the list of games that will be available to play on PlayStation 4 and 5 won’t be to everyone’s taste, but the fact they will be free-to-play might sway several of you back in their favors.
PS Plus is seen as a platform that gives previously released games the opportunity to enter gamers’ minds once again; the forgotten games that were poorly received, or titles that didn’t get the deserved recognition at first glance. As it stands, PS Plus already has some well-known games on its books including ARK: Survival Evolved, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, Team Sonic Racing, and Ghostrunner, so it’s not short of a few exciting games by any means.
According to the leak, Hood Outlaws & Legends is the biggest name coming to the subscription-based platform next month. The Sumo Digital title has received mixed reviews since its release in May of last year, which is one of the reasons it is being re-released on PS Plus, to hopefully give it some more traction. The other games that are reportedly joining Hood Outlaws & Legends are Slay the Spire and Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, both of which were originally released on PS4.
If you don’t know much about these other titles, then this is your lucky day. Slay the Spire has a unique and gorgeous aesthetic attached to it, as it expertly blends dungeon-crawling and card battles. And the other title featuring everyone’s favorite talking sponge is a vibrant little platformer that is tonnes of fun – a guilty secret for many of you, I’m sure. The reports show that this PS Plus lineup will come into action from the 5th of April, so you don’t have to wait much longer to get your hands on them.
