The launch trailer for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has dropped on Xbox’s YouTube channel and it’s fair to say there’s a lot of colourful chaos going on. The game launched today after a great deal of anticipation and the trailer gives players a first look at the twists and turns of the wonderland.
Set within the magically designed world of a tabletop RPG, the trailer shows Tiny Tina heading into battle on the back of a magnificent dragon, as a huge skeleton army surrounds a cohort of heroes. Its high fantasy meets Borderlands-style loot-and-shoot carnage, which all looks incredibly fun.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands gives players the chance to become the legendary Fatemaker on a quest to defeat the dragon lord. In a bit of a sidestep from the Borderlands formula the game’s spun off from, players can implement spellcasting in with their shooting, looting and slashing. The fantastical tabletop RPG setting is a world of Tina’s own creation and is named the Overworld, and is clearly ready for some major exploration if the launch trailer is anything to go by.
Alongside this is the ability to really customise your character class through the game’s multiclass system, which allows you to combine the powers of a primary and secondary class. In creating the ultimate hybrid, you’re given much greater control over your playstyle, which will definitely come in handy when chaotically crashing your way through Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
In addition to the launch trailer, developers Gearbox have been celebrating the game’s big launch day with a special Twitch stream, which you can catch up on over on their channel right now.
