The state of the CW and all its shows is still very much up in the air right now even with certain renewals coming in yesterday. But, the network has made it clear that they are indeed doing their best to keep making new content. And one of those attempts is to continue expanding the Arrowverse at large. There are a few potential new projects that can be a part of that, and one of them is known as Gotham Knights (no relation to the video game).
In this series, Batman dies, and his son (no clue as to whether it’s Damian Wayne or someone else at present) must team up with the children of Batman’s various enemies because they’ve all been framed for his murder. Oops. Add to that, Gotham City is now in absolute chaos as the Dark Knight is no longer there to protect it.
One of the villains that have been confirmed to be coming to Gotham Knights is none other than Two-Face, who will be played by CW alum Mischa Collins, aka Castiel from the series Supernatural. He made this revelation on Twitter in a very Castiel way:
“I’ve asked if my version of the character could be wearing a beige trench coat over the grey suit. (I’m just not sure I’ll be comfortable in front of a camera without one.),” Collins tweeted.
Gotham Knights executive story editor/writer Natalie Abrams confirmed the news on Twitter as well, stating: “Extremely excited to welcome @mishacollins to the #GothamKnights family. Can’t wait for everyone to meet our Harvey Dent!” she tweeted.
Some other characters that have been cast in the show include Duela Dent, Harper and Cullen Row, and more are likely to be revealed soon. The show hasn’t gotten a series order, but depending on how filming goes for the pilot, that could change very quickly.
