There are a LOT of superhero series out there in the world right now, and most of them are from DC Comics or Marvel, but, there are a few out there that are making their own impact on certain streaming services. One of them is The Umbrella Academy over on Netflix, and the other is that of The Boys on Amazon Prime. The latter is based on the comic line about a world where superheroes are real, but they’re corrupt, greedy, and are more than willing to do “whatever they want” in order to get what they feel needs to be done.
As a result, a man named Billy Butcher put together a team to take the top ones, The Seven, out, not the least of which is due to what their leader, Homelander, did to his wife. Among other crimes, of course. The first two seasons were everything that someone who was tired of the “standard hero tale” could’ve hoped for. Lots of violence, lots of…uh…people getting together (if you get our drift), foul language out the wazoo, and plenty of moments to make you go “what did I just watch?”
Which is a perfect segway to the recent trailer for The Boys Season 3. Because its Red Band trailer didn’t hold back in showing what to expect, and as the official Twitter for the series showed…that led to a lot of things happening…

Yes, it was flagged a LOT for the content it showed, but as you can see…they love that. And why shouldn’t they? The show is absolutely unapologetic in terms of their content and how they translate the comics to the silver screen. The team is teasing a BIG third season with more insanity than you can possibly imagine. And once it comes out in June…the flagging we’re sure won’t stop.
