Fancy a new Half-Life game? There’s one in the works! Unfortunately, this isn’t Half-Life 3. It’s Half-Line Miami.
What on Earth is Half-Line Miami? If you guessed that it’s a fan-made mash-up of Half-Life and Hotline Miami, then you guessed right. Developer Thomas Kole built this baby from scratch with a custom engine, and there’ll be a level editor in case you wanna play on your own terms.
According to the updates on Half-Line Miami’s IndieDB page, most of the “gameplay stuff” is done, and there are currently four maps. The sound system was broken for just a bit, but it looks like Kole’s got it under control now. Kole says the physics interactions are working as expected, which is good news since you’ve only got the Gravity Gun and you don’t need the game to start defying physics when you’re about to be swarmed by enemies.
So when can we get our hands on this baby, and how much money would you be willing to throw at it? Half-Line Miami still doesn’t have a set release date, but Kole’s planning to release it for the amazing price of only… nothing. He’s giving it to the world for free! Half-Line Miami will be launched for PC.
