Street Fighter V’s Latest Fighter is Newcomer Necalli

July 20, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Necalli has been unveiled.

Capcom has unveiled one of the four new characters set to grace the upcoming fighting game, Street Fighter V. The first of the four is named Necalli, and he was shown off during the competitive gaming event, EVO Championship Series, over the weekend.

Necalli was revealed in a trailer that explored his fighting style. In addition to the usual arsenal of fist, and leg-based attacks, Necalli has a special move that allows him to transform his appearance, letting loose his dreadlocks into a fiery mane with a life of its own.

A few days ago, Capcom revealed that the classic character Ken will be appearing in the game, as if there was any doubt about his presence.

Street Fighter V will be out exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and PC in March 2016. There is a beta scheduled for the game on July 23 for the PS4, which is set to feature six playable characters (though only four will be available at launch).
