Card Hunter Comes To PC and Mac

July 16, 2015 by Vanessa Lopa

The Steam version of the game comes with the same extensive campaign as the browser Flash version.

Blue Manchu Games is bringing the winning combination of card play, deck building, tactical combat, and classic fantasy role-playing of Card Hunter to PC and Mac.

Just in time for Card Hunter’s Steam release, the newest expansion – Expedition to the Sky Citadel – has also been launched. This expansion features the long-awaited co-op mode, and brings with it the perfect Game Master, Cardotron 2000 (who’s just a touch rebellious). Cardotron 2000, though being a computer, has no intention of manipulating the game to sway things in his favor. He does recognize when there is cause for celebration though.

To celebrate the Steam launch, Cardotron 2000 has hacked the Card Hunter servers and gotten discounts for everybody. The Basic Edition bundle is now $19.99 (from $25), the Attack of the Artifacts expansion bundle is now $12.99 (from $15), and the Expedition to the Sky Citadel expansion bundle is launching at $12.99. Cardotron 2000 has also baited Cardhuntria with daily chests of goodies, available to all players who log on during launch week. How nice.

Jonathan Chey, co-founder of Blue Manchu Games, has expressed his excitement to see the community grow and interact. “We’ve had a great response from the Steam community since we announced last week that the game would soon be available,” Chey said.

Card Hunterremains free-to-play, as it was when it was just a wee browser Flash game, and keeps its extensive campaign content and competitive multiplayer mode. Download it for free on Steam and start playing! Check out this teaser for the Expedition to the Sky Citadel, too.
