Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp Delayed Once More

March 9, 2022 by Todd Black

Respecting What’s Happening

Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp

As many of you have been told more than likely recently, Nintendo is set to have a killer 2022. In fact, it’s already off to an awesome start because of Pokemon Legends Arceus (which sold over 6 million copies in a week), as well as Triangle Strategy (which has gotten a lot of positive reviews). And we’re only about two weeks away from the next big release in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. But after that was supposed to be Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp, but that is now changing.

On their official Twitter page, Nintendo noted that the game would be delayed once again, here’s the tweet:

In light of recent world events, we have made the decision to delay Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was originally scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch on April 8th. Please stay tuned for updates on a new release date.

That’s definitely not what you were expecting, right? But believe it or not, Nintendo has shown in the past, and especially the recent past, that it doesn’t want to make light of what is going on in the world. For example, when the war in the Ukraine came about, it was right when their now very important Pokemon Presents event was about to premiere. So Nintendo took that to heart and decided to not promote the event as much as they would because they knew more important things needed to be discussed and they only wanted people who wanted to watch…to watch.

Now, if we were to make a guess, the game isn’t going to be given a massive delay. Perhaps putting it in May where things might be resolved, but it’s unclear.

Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp is meant to be a modern day remake of the original two games. The OG titles have been given a very colorful facelift as well as voice acting, online play, high score modes, and more. So whenever the game does come out, it’ll be a fun thing to enjoy. But until then, let’s respect Nintendo decision as to why they’re doing this.
