Spectra’s Got Our Hearts Racing

July 10, 2015 by Vanessa Lopa

This fast-paced, retro racer isn’t going easy on you.

Fancy something that’s got a retro feel, but offers a good challenge? Then maybe you should check out Gateway Interactive and Mastertronic’s newest offering, Spectra.

Spectra’s minimalist design belies the complexity of its gameplay. With fantastic procedurally-generated tracks and some awesome music courtesy of Chipzel (who’s also behind Super Hexagon’s music), you’re bound to have a good time.

Fast and deadly, Spectra expects nothing less than perfection. Crash, and you can try again. Inspired by early arcade racers, it rewards those who do everything to keep beating that last high score. You’ll also be getting regular and unlockable Hardcore modes, for even more fun.

It’s time to test your reflexes with Spectra, available now on Steam (they’ve got a 20% launch week discount!) and on the Xbox store, with releases for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone in the works.
