Disney Infinity 3.0 Launching Aug. 30

July 8, 2015 by Michael Fossbakk

It’s the year of Star Wars.

Disney Infinity 3.0 Starter Pack, the third iteration of Disney Interactive’s toy figure/video game hybrid, will be launching on August 30, 2015 in North America, the developer announced today.

The game will usher in the release of the Star Wars Twilight of the Republic Play Set, which includes the Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano figures. Other Twilight of the Republic figures launching on August 30 include Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Star Wars Rebels figures launching on August 30 include Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, and Zeb Orrelios. Last, but not least in the Star Wars department, Star Wars Saga Starter Pack will also be available on August 30.

For non-Star Wars fans, Disney Interactive is also releasing Disney-Pixar’s Inside Out Play Set, which includes the Joy and Anger figures. Sadness, Disgust, and Fear will be sold separately.

Other Disney figures available on August 30 are Mickey, Minnie, Mulan, Olaf from Frozen, and Sam Flynn & Quorra from Tron: Legacy. The Tomorrowland Power Disc Pack will also be available.

Pre-ordering the Disney Infinity 3.0 Starter Pack will grant players early access to Toy Box Takeover. Toy Boy Takeover is a pre-rendered scenario where Syndrome from The Incredibles has stolen Merlin’s magic wand. Players will be able to use any of their Disney Infinity figures to get Merlin’s wand back, venturing through several Disney locations, such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Marvel’s Upper Manhattan, The Old West, and The Incredibles Volcano Lair.

Disney Interactive will also be releasing Toy Box Speedway, a kart racer with nine Disney franchise-themed tracks – Sugar Rush, Frozen, Tatooine, San Fransokyo, Agrabah, Monsters Inc., Halloween Town, Gravity Falls, and Marvel’s Knowhere – and three game modes – time trail, race mode, and combat mode – later this fall.
