Support for Helldivers continues with the release of a new free expansion titled Masters of the Galaxy. The content update has just gone live on the PlayStation Network and is available to all owners of the game across PlayStation platforms.
The expansion adds Master units to the game's three enemy factions. These include the Hive Lord for the bugs, the Siege Mech for the cyborgs, and the Great Eye for the Illuminate. The update also graces players with a set of trophies and some optional paid DLC.
To celebrate the release of the expansion, developer Arrowhead is releasing a special bundle priced at $19.99, which includes the Entrenched Pack, containing the AT-47 Anti-Tank Emplacement Turret, the Anti-Personnel Barrier, and the SH-32 Directional Kinetic Shield.
A retail edition of Helldivers is also planned for release on August 18. It includes the base game, Turning up the Heat, and Masters of the Galaxy expansions, 11 DLC packs, a bonus weapons pack, and a dynamic theme. It's dubbed the Super-Earth Ultimate Edition, and it supports the PS4 on Blu-Ray and comes with digital versions for the PS3 and PS Vita.
