Today is Bungie Day, a day Bungie has dedicated to its fans, and this year in particular is all about the first year of Destiny.
In a half-hour compilation video, Bungie has edited together some fan-created video content that highlights their fans dedication and excitement for Destiny. It includes parodies, music numbers, reviews, let’s plays, launch day excitement, unboxings, and more.
As a follow up to this compilation video, Bungie is asking its fans to submit their Destiny art – whether it be a video, screenshot, or drawing – to a yet-to-be-launched page on the official Bungie website. Once this page is live, submissions may be entered. Voting will be done by the community for the best entries. The top 50 will earn a Blacksmith Shader for their Guardian and the top seven will also receive a copy of the Collector’s Edition of Destiny: The Taken King. The deadline for entries is July 23, 2015.
Today, Bungie also launched something called The Armory on its official website where players can go to examine all weapons and armor in the game in one database. Items can be sorted by the instance they are obtained in, the specific character class the armor belongs to, the item slot it belongs to, and more. Every item is also rendered on the website in 3D, enabling players to see the item from any angle.
Last, but not least, players can also earn a timed-exclusive emblem for their Guardian by completing a list of tasks from the base game, as well as both expansions. Players have until September 9 to earn this emblem and can track their progress here.
