The Tekken franchise is almost legal – turning 21 this December – and they’re celebrating in a big way with the first ever series tournament, “The King of Iron Fist Tournament 2015.” And it’s official, they’re giving away 10 million yen to the winner. Oh, yeah.

The search is on for the best Tekken 7 player in the world, and it starts in Japan; the Osaka Challenge qualifiers are scheduled for September, while the Tokyo Challenge is set for October, with one last Japanese qualifier round in November. Then it’s on to the international players: participants from outside of Japan will get their own tickets to the tournament, tentatively scheduled for November or December.
Sounds like everyone needs to get some practice time in, right? The tournament reveal came at just the right time, because Bandai Namco has also just announced the first US arcade locations where you can find Tekken 7. These are set to kick off later this month, and you’ll find them at the following spots:
· Dave and Buster’s in New York, NY
· Dave and Buster’s in Dallas, TX
· Dave and Buster’s in Milpitas, CA
· Round 1 in City of Industry, CA
· Round 1 in Tukwila, WA
· Round 1 in Bloomingdale, IL
