We knew this was coming, but finally, Mojang has confirmed Minecraft Windows 10 Edition. Curiously enough, instead of a full release they’re starting off with a beta.
This version will be distinct from the current Java-based PC version, and it will also add some features from the Pocket Edition version. Among the features to be included are:
· Eight person multiplayer
· Cross play with Pocket Edition players
· Multiple color schemes
You can buy the Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Beta for $ 10 off the Windows App Store. If you already own the older version of the game, you can download the beta for free. Either way, if you own this version before the beta ends, you will also get the final game when it comes out of beta, with future updates coming free of charge.
