Street Fighter V Touring The US Via Six Flags

July 2, 2015 by Vanessa Lopa

The public beta is PS4-exclusive, and if you’re not about to spring for a new console just yet, you can try out Street Fighter V at a Six Flags park near you.

Are you excited for Street Fighter V? Do you live near a Six Flags theme park? If you answered yes to both of those questions, then you’re in luck! Capcom has just announced a partnership with the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation to bring you Street Fighter 5 ahead of its Spring 2016 launch.

From July thru December, Capcom is bringing the Street Fighter franchise’s newest entry to Six Flags theme parks across 8 states, kicking off at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California. The luckiest ones here are the ones who live in Valencia, California; they’re going to have it at Six Flags Magic Mountain for nearly 6 months.

When going for the “Street Fighter V at Six Flags” experience, you’ll probably do well to look out for the custom Street Fighter V-themed gaming pods or kiosks. Park visitors can play every day, and they’ll be holding 8-person single elimination tournaments at all parks during the weekends (tournaments on Saturdays only at Six Flags Magic Mountain). Looks like they’ll be running the demos and tournaments on PlayStation 4 systems, which is in line with the PS4-exclusive public beta that they announced last E3.

Check this list to see if you live in or near one of the lucky cities, or if you’ll have a long drive ahead of you:

July 2 – July 7
·         Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (Vallejo, CA)
July 4 – July 7
·         Six Flags Over Texas (Arlington, TX)
July 6 – December 31
