EA DICE has shared some brief new footage of Star Wars Battlefront as it appears on PC.
For a good 30 seconds, we see the game in the eyes of a Rebel soldier engaging the Stormtroopers in Tattooine. Using the scope, the player is able to target and strike against a group of soldiers. He/she also picks up the benefit of a squad shield, presumably from sticking close to his/her teammates. Lastly, in the last few seconds he/she is engaged in a shootout with a trooper using a jetpack, an obvious hint that Boba Fett is waiting in the wings, hiding nearby.
The PC graphics look stunning, if the actual gameplay itself is pretty by-the-numbers as shooters come and go. DICE chose a good setting to show off Frostbite’s capability for tessellation and other graphic effects with the detailed fissures and cracks that litter Tattooine’s dry mountaintops.
Star Wars Battlefront will be releasing on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 17, 2015.
