The Batman: Arkham Knight Launch Trailer has dropped, and it looks plenty ominous. We’ve already seen a good bit of gameplay footage here and there, but this is different.
“For the hero, the only true conclusion is death. The hero does not cower to death, for that would belittle life. The hero knows he cannot defeat danger, but for a moment, he can free others from fear. Let those left behind find hope in his sacrifice. Let those who knew him well speak of his fierce loyalty, unwavering convictions, and when the time came, his ultimate willingness to give all. Legends live on, only man comes to an end.”
We understand that facing bad guys all the time has its risks. Protecting the city is a dangerous job, and Batman has taken on this daunting task. The trailer is packed with the kind of chaos and action expected to take place in Arkham Knight, and we get a good look at the cast of characters that will be present in the game.
“This is how the Batman died.” They chose to end the trailer with that line. Rocksteady has said in the past that this is the conclusion to the Arkham series. We wondered how they were going to wrap it up, though, and it looks like we might have our answer. Would Rocksteady really kill off Batman? This is the last game, so we wouldn’t put it past them.
Batman: Arkham Knight will drop on June 23, 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Don’t forget, there’s a day one patch waiting for you, too.
