Batman Arkham Knight: Final Poster, Preloading Available, 3.5 GB Day One Patch

June 22, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

Unfortunately, preloading may prove pointless due to the Day One Patch.

Are you hyped for Batman: Arkham Knight? We have the last bits of news to share with you prior to release.

First off is this incredible poster of Bruce in his Batmobile, which caps off the Arkham Knight poster series. It seems to depict Bruce in between leaving his Batmobile in the game, based on the smoke effects around him. Actually, if you take a close look at this poster closely, it does not look CG. In fact, it may be cover art by Alex Ross, who has a distinctive way of using shadows in his art. You can click on the pic itself to see it full size.

If you look at Steam, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the game is already available to preload. The Steam page mentions that Linux, SteamOS and Mac versions will be coming in Fall 2015.

Unfortunately, preloading may prove pointless, as there is a hefty 3.5 GB Day One Patch coming as well.

This patch will supposedly bring these changes:

·         Improved Performance

·         Stability Fixes

·         New feature: Rival Points

·         New feature: Original Batsuit skin available to select

·         Support for "A Matter Of Family" additional content

·         General gameplay, graphical, audio, UI, and localization fixes

Of course, no feature in this list comes unwelcome, but it seems likely that fans will not be happy they can’t play the game ASAP.

Are you preloading the game now? Are you ready for the day one patch? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.

Batman Arkham Knight will be available tomorrow, June 23, 2015, on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
